Healthy & nutritious energy balls

Wholesome natural ingredients

Snacking between meals or eating mindlessly due to boredom or discontentment can often lead to unhealthy food choices, in turn increasing weight by adding additional calories with high fat and sugary foods. With so much available fast food and packaged items at low prices such as chocolate bars and biscuits,  these are often consumed as a quick pick me up.

Taking time to meal plan ensuring you eat the right amount of food which is fulfilling and wholesome will support your food choices throughout the day.

Boredom can also play a big part in snacking, be that driving long distances, watching tv or eating as a distraction for either comfort or perceived hunger.

Planning a wholesome diet together with healthy snacks such as a handful of almonds, fruit, or a nutritious energy ball as the recipe below will provide the mind and body with the nutrients it needs. Planning ahead with snacks you have packed with you or have ready in your fridge will be more accessible and better for you.

Some ideas of healthy choices are below such as fruits, nuts in moderation and quantity (almonds around 20 nuts) and a recipe for my energy balls which are quick to make and equally fulfilling and delicious.
