Health benefits of having a morning routine.

We may all at times feel overwhelmed, not in control or lack time for ourselves, which can lead to sadness, stress and even depression. Having a morning routine centered around what you really want to achieve will truly assist you feel more in control, more energised and feeling more personally satisfied.

A morning routine is something I personally am an advocate of to maintain a healthy mind, body and soul.  Here are 6 simple steps to get you started:

  1. Wake up every day at the same time, a healthy circadian rhythm also known as      the sleep/wake cycle, will assist with a regular sleep pattern too.
  2. Start your day with warm water with fresh organic lemon juice, this wakes your digestive system naturally.
  3. Exercise: walk, run, swim, whatever you love to do, plan it into your morning routine. Exercise increases endorphins and provides you with a boost of energy that will carry you through the day.
  4. Eat a healthy breakfast avoiding processed and sugar laden foods. Opt for organic oats, fresh fruits, nuts and seeds and homemade nut mylk™ for example.
  5. Plan what to wear the night or day before, this will save you time in the morning.
  6. Starting your day feeling in control with a sense of achievement will lay good foundations for the day ahead.
